About retirement age
What does retirement age mean?
Your retirement age is the age you expect to start taking money from this pension. It doesn’t have to be when you stop working.
When can I access my pension?
Most personal pensions can usually be accessed from age 55 (rising to 57 in 2028).
Is this the same as state pension age?
No. Your state pension age is when you can start receiving the UK State Pension, which is currently 68 for many people depending on your date of birth.
Can I change this later?
Yes. Your retirement age is just an estimate and you can update it at any time.
