How we keep your Account safe, and what you can do
At Quilter Invest, your security is our top priority. As part of Quilter, a FTSE 250-listed wealth management company, we take every measure to ensure your money and data are protected. Our team continuously monitors, tests, and enhances our systems to stay ahead of emerging online threats.
Multi-factor authentication and passkeys
We’ve introduced Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and passkeys to provide extra layers of protection when you log in.
- MFA requires two forms of verification, something you know (like your password) and something you have (like your phone), making it much harder for fraudsters to access your account.
- Passkeys are encrypted digital keys that are far more secure than passwords, they can’t be stolen, guessed, or phished. They’re stored safely in your Android password manager or Apple iCloud Keychain, which also lets you use them across your devices.
To enable these features, simply visit the Account settings and go to ‘Passkey’ in the Quilter Invest app.
Beware online fraud
Fraudsters are becoming increasingly sophisticated. They may try to trick you through phishing emails, fake websites, or urgent messages claiming to be from trusted companies. Watch out for:
- Poor spelling and grammar
- Requests for personal or bank details
- Links that look suspicious or unfamiliar
If something doesn’t feel right, don’t click on it. If you’re still unsure, you can always check with a friend or family member for a second opinion. If you suspect something is wrong, report the email or text to the organisation directly.
Tips for safe app usage
To help keep your account even more secure:
- Use strong, unique passwords
- Enable passkeys
- Keep your devices and apps updated
- Never share your login details
- Add our email address to your safe sender list so you never miss important updates
