Can you resend my targeted support recommendation?

Unfortunately, we cannot resend recommendations once they have been generated. If, for example, you used the wrong email address, you will need to resubmit your answers to the questions using the correct email address to receive a new recommendation.

What personal data do you require for me to take targeted support?

Just your name and email address. This enables us to send you your recommendation and allows us to link it to your Quilter Invest account if you decide to register.

What happens after I receive my recommendation?

You remain in control. You can follow the recommendation, explore your options, or speak with a financial adviser if you want personalised advice. If you want to go proceed with the recommendation, simply sign up to the app in minutes and take the recommended actions of your choice. As with all investments, the value can go down as well as up, and you may get back less than you invest. A longer time horizon, typically at least five years, gives investments a better chance to recover from short term market movements. For funds, full details of the investment approach, risks and potential returns are available in the Key Investor Information Document and Fact Sheet, available in the app or on the fund manager's website.

Do you monitor the performance of my investments?

No. We do not monitor the performance of your personal investment portfolio. We do however review the performance of the ready-made suggestions offered within targeted support to ensure they remain aligned with the intended target group.

How long is my recommendation valid for?

Your recommendation reflects your circumstances at the time you submitted your answers. There is no fixed validity period. If your situation changes, your original recommendation may no longer be suitable. You can retake the full targeted support journey at any time.

How our targeted support service works

We will ask you some questions about your experience and confidence in investing.

If investing with us for the first time, we'll find out what money you have to invest and whether you have already utilised your ISA allowance this tax year.

We'll determine your suitability for investing based on your need to access your money and how you feel about investing.

If we feel that investing is the right choice for you, we will then provide recommendations for:
The financial product most relevant for you, e.g. an Individual Savings Account (ISA) or a General Investment Account (GIA) & a Quilter managed fund to invest in.

You decide what to do next, there are no charges for the targeted support service itself and no obligation to take any action.

What is targeted support?

Many people want more support with their money but do not need, or may not benefit from, the cost of full financial advice. The FCA wants firms to give clearer, more helpful support without it becoming regulated advice. Targeted support is designed to help people make more confident, informed decisions.

Targeted support is a free, optional support service. It asks you a short series of questions and places you into a group of people with similar needs and characteristics. You will then receive a recommendation based on the answers you provided at that moment in time. This recommendation is designed for a group of people in a similar situation.

Targeted support is not financial advice. It does not consider your full financial circumstances.

Financial advice provides you a personal recommendation based on a detailed assessment of your full situation. If you have complex needs, a larger amount to invest, or want personalised information, financial advice may be more suitable. If you already receive financial advice, you can take targeted support, however if the recommendation differs from your financial adviser’s guidance, you should speak to them first.

Is Quilter Invest authorised to provide targeted support?

Yes. Only firms with the appropriate FCA permissions can provide targeted support.

Quilter Invest Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority under Firm Reference Number 955775. You can check our status on the FCA Register at www.fca.org.uk/register.

This means the service must meet regulatory standards set by the FCA.

Is targeted support personalised to me?

No. Targeted support is not personalised financial advice. Your recommendation is based on the answers you provide which groups you with people with similar needs and characteristics.

It does not take account of your full personal circumstances. If you feel you need support that is tailored specifically to your situation, regulated financial advice may be more appropriate.

Is targeted support free?

Yes, it is free to get targeted support through Quilter Invest. You do not need an account with Quilter Invest to take targeted support.

What can targeted support recommend?

The recommendation may include a product or fund to consider, or we may indicate that investing may not be suitable for you right now based on your answers. For example, it may suggest building savings or paying off debt before investing.

Targeted support can suggest products or funds that may be suitable for people with similar needs and characteristics, that are available with Quilter Invest. It does not compare providers or recommend products outside of Quilter Invest.

How do I get targeted support with Quilter Invest?

Anyone can use targeted support with Quilter Invest.

If you are not a Quilter Invest customer:

Download the Quilter Invest app, read the information and tap ‘Get started now’. Then just tap ‘Need help investing?’ to use our targeted support tool.

If you are already a Quilter Invest customer, simply log out and follow the steps above.

Once you have provided your answers, your recommendation will be emailed to you via the email address you provided. Please review the recommendation carefully before deciding whether to act on it.
