Understanding targeted support

Making decisions about your money isn’t always easy. You might want some guidance to help you move forward, but not necessarily the cost or depth of full financial advice. Targeted support is designed to bridge that gap.

It’s a free, optional service that helps you take the next step with more confidence. By answering a short series of questions, you’ll be matched with a group of people who share similar needs and characteristics. Based on that, you’ll receive a recommendation to help guide your decision-making.

It’s important to be clear about what this means. Targeted support is not financial advice. It doesn’t take into account your full financial situation or provide a fully personalised recommendation. Instead, it offers guidance designed for people in similar circumstances at that moment in time. If your needs are more complex, or you’re looking for something tailored specifically to you, financial advice may be more appropriate.

Targeted support is available to anyone and is completely free to use. You don’t need to be a Quilter Invest customer to get started. If you do decide to invest after receiving your recommendation, then standard platform and investment charges would apply.

The recommendations you receive will depend on your answers. In some cases, you may be guided towards a product or fund to consider. In others, the outcome may suggest that investing isn’t the right step for you just yet, for example, if building up savings or paying off debt could be a better priority first. The suggestions are based on options available through Quilter Invest and are designed to suit groups of people with similar financial characteristics.

Getting started is simple. You can download the Quilter Invest app, follow the steps to begin, and select the option for help with investing. Once you’ve completed the questions, your recommendation will be sent to your email. It’s worth taking the time to read through it carefully and consider what’s right for you before taking any action.

Your recommendation reflects your situation at the time you answered the questions, and there’s no fixed period for how long it remains relevant. If your circumstances change, you can always go through the process again to receive an updated recommendation.

What happens next is entirely up to you. You might decide to follow the recommendation, explore other options, or speak to a financial adviser if you’d like more personalised support. While Quilter Invest doesn’t provide financial advice, you are free to seek it separately if you feel it would be helpful.

As with all investing, it’s worth remembering that the value of investments can go down as well as up, and you may get back less than you invest. Taking a long-term approach-typically at least five years-can help give your investments the best chance to grow and recover from short-term market movements.

To provide your recommendation, we only ask for your name and email address. This allows us to send your results to you and, if you choose to register later, link them to your account. If you ever need to go through the process again, for example, if you entered the wrong email, you can simply retake the questions to receive a new recommendation.

Targeted support is designed to make investing feel more accessible. It offers clear, straightforward guidance to help you take the next step, while keeping you in control of your decisions.
